Respecialization Information
Individuals with a graduate degree
in a closely related field (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology)
may be eligible for the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP)
designation, provided they have completed a respecialization program at
a NASP-approved
training program.
After submission of the certification
application, the NASP office will send the applicant a “Documentation
for Respecialization Cases” form. This must be completed and signed by
the current program director of the training program where the applicant
completed the respecialization program. Additional documentation must
be provided, such as a copy of the program of studies and transcript review
completed upon the applicant's enrollment in the NASP-approved program.
