Learning Disabilities Roundtable
The 2004 Learning Disabilities Roundtable submitted their comments and
recommendations on regulatory issues under the Individual with Disabilities
Education Improvement Act to the U.S. Department of Education's Office
of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. Click

The 2002 Learning Disability Roundtable, a group of ten
educational and advocacy organizations, submitted recommendations
for IDEA reauthorization to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP),
U.S. Department of Education. The report, entitled "Specific Learning
Disabilities: Finding Common Ground," proposes improvements to better
identify and serve students with learning disabilities.

National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD)
NASP is one of thirteen organizations that comprise the National Joint Committee
on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD), a group committed
to the education and welfare of individuals with learning disabilities.
The goals of the NJCLD are to provide an interdisciplinary forum
to review issues for educational and governmental agencies, and to
develop statements and reports to clarify concerns and topics related

National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD)
The National Research Center on Learning
Disabilities engages in research, develops recommendations, and
provides training to help administrators, teachers, parents, and policy
makers address issues surrounding the proper identification of students
with learning disabilities who need special education services. The
NRCLD is funded by the OSEP.
National Center on Student Progress Monitoring
The National Center on Student
Progress Monitoring is a project funded by OSERS that provides
information and technical assistance to implement progress monitoring
techniques such as curriculum-based measurement. Under No Child Left
Behind and IDEA 2004, student progress monitoring techniques are critical
tools for measuring the outcomes of scientific, research-based interventions
in schools.
